Demi (23), still living with her overprotective parents, becomes pregnant by a free-spirited musician. When her parents then interfere too much with the pregnancy, Demi impulsively flees home on her scooter. The journey that follows makes her realize that she has to stand on her own two feet.

For this film, the D.O.P. wanted to create a highly realistic 16mm look and feel, but wasn’t able to actually shoot analog. Therefore, our colorist Judy used the project as a test case by using different techniques on how to simulate the best 16mm look, using several kinds of grain and a film emulation tool.
